Current Instrumentation
The Mass Spectrometry Facility currently has a total of three peripherals, two of which are connected through a Conflo IV universal continuous flow interface to the ThermoFinnigan DeltaV plus isotope ratio mass spectrometer.
Costech Analytical Technologies ECS 4010 equipt with the Zero Blank Autosampler
The Costech Elemental Combustion System (ECS) 4010 converts organic (or inorganic) solid samples containing nitrogen and carbon into nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases, respectively.
Thermo Scientific TC/EA High Temperature Conversion Elemental Analyzer
TC/EA High Temperature Conversion Elemental Analyzer converts organic (or inorganic) samples containing oxygen or hydrogen to carbon monoxide and hydrogen gases, respectively.
Thermo Scientific Gasbench II with CTC Analytics PAL System Autosampler
The heated GasBench II generates gas from the acid digestion of a solid carbonate sample or allows gas to equilibrate over a water sample.
